Description

En route to Texas to broker an arms deal for his boss Governor Castro, Brady falls from his beloved horse Lágrimas, and breaks his leg.

While he recuperates in Texas, Brady’s arms shipment is stolen and to complicate matters further, he begins to fall for the wife of a local army major, played by Julie London…

Directed by Robert Parrish (Casino Royal), this melancholy Western draws a colourful portrait of a fading way of life.

A grand musical score from composer Alex North (Spartacus, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?) and sweeping cinematography captures the beauty of Mexico and Texas, creating ‘a lyrical and beautifully shot Western’ (Turner Classic Movies).

Also starring Albert Dekker (The Wild Bunch, East of Eden) and Charles McGraw (The Birds, Spartacus).
