Cyril and Amos, two veterans of the D-Day landings, return to Normandy for the first time in 50 years to visit a fallen friend’s grave. Waldo, an American veteran, is staying at their hotel with his family. Cyril sets off to find Angelique, a girl who had befriended the Allied soldiers in ’44. Walking in the same direction, with the same aim, is Waldo. It emerges that both men were rivals for Angel’s affections – and still are.
